I have worked in digital since Flash was king of web. Some people may call me a digital art director, some a visual design lead - in any case I started out as a traditionally trained graphic designer & brought my skills born out of that into the digital realm. Which basically means I’m highly skilled & experienced at setting the vision & visual style language across all platforms unifying the creative direction.
I have a proven portfolio of delivering user-centred products that are both visually appealing and compelling to use.
I have a strong ability to quickly distil a brief, get to the crux of the problem and deliver groundbreaking, accessible solutions in innovative ways.
I am an exceptional design all-rounder - branding, print, digital, typographic, composition, retouching & crafting skills.
I always remain positive in attitude, confident, calm, reliable and collaborative in nature with the drive & experience to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
A bit about how I became a graphic designer… Ever since I saw a designer using a Mac & Photoshop 3 to design an album cover for a band I was touring with I have been hooked on the path of graphic design. I sold my motorbike & bought a Mac. I taught myself Freehand and Photoshop 3. After a year or so of doing flyer's & album covers with no real clue I decided to become 'official' and applied for a BA degree in Graphic Design. After graduating I headed to London & worked with the fashion director of FHM Magazine. After 4 awesome years working on branding projects, fashion campaigns & photo shoots I had honed my skills in branding, retouching, art direction & print processes. Attention to detail was hammered home along with the knowledge of quickly understanding the right mood & tone of a brief.
A year off to bicycle around South East Asia followed then back to London where I joined Collective London to work predominantly in digital design. Later, I'd progressed to become digital art director, managed a team of designers and along the way picked up numerous awards.
When an opportunity arose in Asia I jumped at the chance & relocated to Bangkok to become creative director of UDOX Thailand. I then co-founded TWD & 9Zebra as the design director working on digital, brand & print projects for clients across the globe.
My time is now split between Bangkok and London working on freelance contracts.
